Certified Art Therapist

Erika is a Certified Art Therapist and member of the Canadian Art Therapy Association (CATA), as well as registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) as a Registered Psychotherapist. She completed her postgraduate studies in Art Therapy  at the Toronto Art Therapy Institute, and has obtained a Master's degree in Photography from The University of the Arts, London England.  She is also a Certified Yoga Teacher and often integrates trauma informed yoga and mindfulness techniques into the sessions with clients. Erika follows a trauma-informed lens, she is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and offers a holistic approach to healing involving body and mind interventions, including Art Therapy, Talk therapy, Somatic (body) therapy, Mindfulness, & Psychoeducation.


Erika is trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches including Trauma Integration Clinician, mindfulness & compassion-based approaches, art therapy/expressive arts therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), parts work, and body-oriented/ trauma processing techniques to heal trauma-related issues  to support children ( ages 9+), teens & adults facing a variety of concerns. Erika also offers EMDR (Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) to her clients and is currently working towards her certification in EMDR therapy.


Erika has helped support clients with various matters, such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, anger management, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), chronic illness (chronic pain, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue).
